In this section, you’re going to learn how to create high-converting sales copy, headlines, taglines, FAQs, and much more to help increase your business’ revenue.

Then we’re onto copywriting, and this is such an essential part of business, probably more so than you realised, and it’s probably used in more places than you really think that it is. Now, just to give you an idea of how much I love copywriting and I feel that it’s essential for business, really. I’ve got all these books here, David Ogilvy, this one’s the unpublished. We’ve got the ultimate sales letter here by Dan Kennedy. Then we’ve got Copywriting Secrets by Jim Edwards of ClickFunnels fame, as it were. And then we’ve got Joe Vitale, Hypnotic Writing, and these are just some of the books that I’ve got in copy writing. I don’t particularly enjoy writing, but I know that it’s an essential part of business. So when chat GPT came along, writing in general was one of the most incredible features that it’s launched that helps me out personally with my business. So let’s get going on copy writing and really define what it actually is. So copy writing is the act of writing text or copy for advertising or promotional purposes. The goal of copy writing is to persuade the reader all over the viewer to take some action, whether it’s buying a product, signing up for a service, or simply clicking a link.

So that really does define it very clearly. It’s about writing for a purpose. It’s not for entertainment or anything like that. It’s to get someone to do something that you want them to do. So hopefully that’s nice and clear now. And then let’s just go into it a little bit more deeper here. So where’s it used? Well, it’s used in marketing campaigns across various media such as print, television, radio, and the internet. Well, we know that it’s used pretty much everywhere, advertising, you name it. Successful copywriting requires a deep understanding of the target audience. And actually, of all of these writers that I just mentioned, probably the person who I think seems to delve into that area most is Dan Kennedy. He really values the importance of literally putting yourself in the person’s shoes that you are trying to sell to and acting out their day even in your mind and working out exactly the way that they live their lives so that you really understand that person so well that writing for them is just so much easier. Now chat GPT can help you with this like you wouldn’t believe. So you’re going to love what’s coming next.

So next is quality copywriting can have a big impact on the success of a business or organization, driving sales, building brand awareness, and creating loyal customers. There’s no two ways about it that… I mean, if we just take a standard sales page for perhaps an online course or something like that, that sales page could be converting at, say, one and a half, maybe two %. And by improving the copy writing and getting it much more readable, more persuasive and compelling, you can actually double the sales by increasing the conversion rate to, say, 3 or 4 %. You’re literally doubling the amount of money that you’re earning. So this is how important copy writing actually is. And here’s just a few of the places that you are likely to use as a business owner. Website landing pages, and we’re going to cover about website content in particular in the next part of this course. Product descriptions, email campaigns that you send, anything, whether that’s an onboarding campaign. You may think like an email onboarding campaign is just to say, Oh, thanks for joining and here’s how you get started. Well, no, it’s really got to be a lot more than that.

It’s got to be about getting someone to use your product, be satisfied. All of that is copywriting. Blog posts, video scripts, social media posts. There’s just so many. Product demos, tutorials, e-commerce, checkout process. There are so many examples of where copy writing is used, and the good thing is that Chat GPT can write brilliantly for all of them. So this is one of the most amazing features is that if you think about it, Chat GPT has scoured the web and at the time of doing this video with Chat GPT 3.5, the model 3.5 GPT, has learned everything from about 580 gigabytes of text. And some of that data will, of course, be written content by various authors. And this is one of them, David Ogilvy. So if we wanted to, we can literally have a copywriter of our choice, and their style of writing, we can have Chat GP do that for us. So let’s bring it up. Let’s fire it up right now, and we’ll get Chat GP to just demo this.

And we’ll say that we want to have… Let’s just type this in here. Well, I’m going to say it because it’s always a lot quicker to use my mic. Can you write a 400 word sales letter that would sell a waterproof rain jacket to female runners over 50 years old in the style of David Ogilvy? There you go. Let’s see what it can do for us right now. And it’s done it in a sales letter format because, well, that is what we asked for, isn’t it? So there we go. Dear female runners over 50. I think we’ve probably changed that a little bit, but look at this. As you take your daily run, rain may be the furthest thing from your mind, but when the sky opens up, don’t let it dampen your spirits. I love that. Or your clothes. I have the perfect solution for you, our new waterproof rain jacket designed specifically for female runners like you. Crafted from the highest quality materials, our rain jacket will keep you dry and comfortable no matter how hard the rain comes down. You’ll never have to cut your run short because of a sudden downpour again.

That is a sales letter written by this gentleman here who died in 1999 but has left an absolute legacy in terms of copywriting. And so that’s one method that you can use. Now, let’s take a little look at who else chat GPT can write in the style of. Well, you may well have heard of any of these people here. If you’re into business and entrepreneurship and writing, definitely, you’ll heard of these guys. Some of the big names that I’m familiar with, Eugene Swart’s excellent ad writer, David Ogilvy, who we just demoed just there.

Claude Hopkins and Gary Hallbert in perhaps more recent times, unbelievable copywriter, and Dan Kennedy, who is now just a complete legend. I can’t believe how many books that guy has written on sales and writing. He’s incredible. So what I’ve done for you is I’ve actually got all of these guys, in case you haven’t heard of some of them, and I’ve actually put them into the spreadsheet, which you can get underneath this video, and I’ve got all of those copywriters that you can use to have chatGBT right in the style of. And then also, if you’re not familiar with that person, so for example here, John Caples, known for his testing and experimentation of headlines in copy, as well as his ability to use emotional appeals to persuade his audience. So if you want your copy written in that style, then this is one of the ways that you can get it. So that’s how we do it. Now, let’s go back to these slides here. So that’s the copywriters. But now let’s talk about frameworks as well. Now, you are going to be very familiar with some of these frameworks if you’re involved with any marketing or sales.

So what is it? Well, basically, a write in framework is a structured approach or formula used to guide the development of written content. A framework provides a set of guidelines that writers can use to organise their ideas and ensure that their writing is effective and persuasive. It’s just a way of actually formatting your message that you’re trying to get across to the person you’re trying to sell to. And so it’s just not a load of waffle. There’s a specific way of doing things within that. And let’s just take a look at some of these well known writing frameworks that you’re able to use with chat GPT. We’ve got the classic, ADA, attention, interest, desire, and action. And then problem, agitate, solution, PAS, you’re bound to have heard of that one too. And then there’s other ones which I feel a lot of these are very similar in the way that they lay things out, like the 4PS, for example, promise picture proof push. It’s almost just a different way of saying some of the other ones. But 7C is here as well. Clear, concise, compelling, credible, customer focused, conversational and consistent. That is a lot of Cs, isn’t it?

And then the story brand framework as well. You can get chatGBT to write like that. I know there’s a lot of fans of that story brand framework. I myself have gone through the training for that. And then there’s app and BAB, the five Ws, there’s all sorts of different ones that are out there. That’s the what, where, when, why, and something else, I believe. I’ll add that in a moment. But again, let’s demo that right now. And then perhaps we’ll just go straight in with the PAS, which is the Problem Agitate Solution. And we’ll do the… We’ll just have this rewritten in that style. So I’ll just say now, can you rewrite that sales letter in the writing framework that is PA S, problem agitate solution. There we go. And now it’s set to work. Are you tired of cutting your daily run short because of unexpected rain? And then off it goes. The problem is, so it starts off with a problem very clearly there, doesn’t it? Most rain jackets on the market just aren’t designed with runners in mind. They’re bulky, heavy, and can restrict your movements. That’s where our waterproof rain jacket comes in.

So that is now the PAS, which is this one here, the problem agitate solution. So no matter what business you’re in, no matter what industry, whether that’s coaching, consulting, software as a service, it doesn’t matter. You can use these brilliant writing frameworks to try and sell more of your stuff.

And that’s what this is all about. And perhaps before, you would have had to have… And I still encourage you to do this, by the way, is to read all of these books because it will help you understand what a good job that this is doing, if nothing else, and just give you an overview. But yeah, basically, it will do all of these things that these books will teach you, and it’s a quicker way of doing it. But I definitely would still recommend reading the books so that you understand a little more about it. Now, I want to give you another way of getting the perfect sales copy or copy writing created for you using Chat GPT. And if you think about it, Chat GPT is chat in terms of it’s not just do this, the end. And it has the ability to interact with you and refine things. So what I like to do when I’m creating any sales copy or copy writing using Chat GBT is to have ChatGBT ask me what it needs to be able to create the very best content. So this is a different way of doing things, and I’m going to put this prompt on that spreadsheet for you as well.

But look at this. So I’m going to paste in this command, save typing it all out. I’m going to use ChatGBT to write some emails to promote my product, which is FastFunnels. Some of you may know I operate FastFunnels, which is a website building and funnel building platform. So we’re going to use that as an example because it’s easy for me. I need help writing a series of emails to promote my product, FastFunnels. Can you ask me a series of questions one at a time that would help you to create the perfect email sequence and wait for my answer before asking the next question? Once finished, please then create the output. And now, if we ask that, this is going to be fantastic. This is the best way I found to really get ChatGBT to create some good content for you. So here we are then. The first question, sure, I can help you with that. Who is your target audience for these emails? So I’m just going to say coaches and consultants. So there’s my answer. Great. Thanks for letting me know. Here’s the next question. What is the main benefit of your product, FastFunnels, for coaches and consultants?

It enables them to rapidly create sales funnels or full websites with the minimal technical knowledge using our easy to use drag and drop funnel builder. There we go. We’ll just change final to funnel because I’m not sure that will be very good. There we go. So there is that answered. Next question. Thanks for sharing that. So polite, this assistant. What is the goal of these promotional emails? In other words, what do you want your readers to do after reading these emails? Now, this is all stuff. Imagine trying to put all this into a prompt. It’d be like 10 foot long. So I’m just going to say, what I’d like them to do is to sign up for a 14 day free trial. Okay, great. That’s helpful. Here’s the next question. How many emails do you want to include in this sequence? That’s easy. I’ll just say four. Okay, got it. Here’s the next question. What is the overall tone and messaging that you want to convey in these emails? For example, do you want to use more casual conversational tone or more professional and formal? Do you want to focus on the product features, benefits, or a combination of both?

Well, I’m going to say… Let me just think about this, the overall tone. Remember that we also have our spreadsheet. If we want to, we can just switch over to here. Look, we’ve got our tones here and our styles here to help you create this. So I’m just going to say, let’s go with creative. Why don’t we go with creative this time? And I’m just going to put that in there. So I’d like you to use a creative and friendly tone. And I want you to focus on both the product features and the benefits. That’s that answered. Great. Thank you for letting me know. Based on your answers, here’s a possible email sequence, and off it goes. But it’s doing so now with so much more knowledge. And as I say, the whole point of chat tubety is it remembers your previous answers. It’s remembering the whole conversation. This is what sets it apart from perhaps the playground, the open AI playground where you just tell it to do something and it gives you the answer. That’s it. It’s over. But now look at this. It’s just ripping out an incredible email sequence. So let’s just take a look at some of it.

I won’t read them all out for you, but I will just give you an overview here. The subject line, so how fast funnels can help you create funnels and websites with ease. So for your business, you are able to have Chat GPT create great quality copywriting for anything that you want. And the way that I suggest you do it is the way that I’ve done it here. And as I say, I’m going to put this prompt for you right there on the sheet as well, and you’ll be able to just change it to promote my product and then just put the name of your product. You might need to put a little bit more information in there about your product, although it’s likely that Chat GPT will start asking you questions to learn about your product. It’s just that I do know that it knows about fast funnels because it scoured the web. At the time of doing this video, its data finished on June 2021, and fast funnels has been around for a couple of years by that point, or year or so. Actually, was it 2021, 22? Yeah, I think it was 21. Yeah, 21 it stopped its data. So if your product was created after that, then it may be, or your brand, then it may be, it won’t know about it, and you might need to give it a little bit more information.

So hopefully that helps you. So there we are. That is how you can use ChatGBT to do all this good stuff. Don’t forget to use the tones, the styles. You’ve got now the copywriters that you can even have a copy, if you like. Model, I think is a better word. It won’t ever be as good as a real person, will it? But it won’t be too bad at all. And then we’ve got our writing frameworks there. And then also what I’ve done is to create a lot of example copywriting prompts for you for various different things such as landing pages, product descriptions like this. Look, can you write compelling descriptions for my product, brand service? You just replace that with what you’re going to put in that will make it more attractive to potential buyers. And these are just a starting point. Obviously, everybody’s going to have a slightly different need as to what they want creating. And that is why I do encourage that questioning from chat gbc so that it can create you better results than your competitors. Because at some point, of course, everybody’s going to be using this thing to chat gbc to create all sorts of content.

So if you can use it and just be that little bit better with AI and you understand how to create better prompts to give you better output, then you’re going to be ahead of your competitors.
