Web Browser
This training video will cover the use of ChatGPT’s own plug-in, Web Browser. With this, we get the ability to finally connect ChatGPT to the web, which opens up a whole load of interesting and useful benefits.

Now, the web browsing plug-in for Chat GPT was one of the most hotly anticipated plug-ins of all because, of course, we’ve been limited to data up to September 2021. Until now, if you have a Chat GPT Plus account, you’ve been able to activate the plug-in just here. So down the bottom left, we go to Settings, then Beta Features, and choose this one. Now, I noticed in the last couple of days that they’ve changed it from just a web browser to browsing with Bing. So no doubt a conversation with their massive $10 billion investors resulted in that. So now what we’ve got is basically Bing, but within Chat GPT, and we select it just there. In fact, this again was just browsing the web, I think, but now it’s browsing with Bing with their little trademark. And so we’re able to use Chat GPT, pull in information from the web, and do all kinds of different things that we just couldn’t do before. So let’s just try a prompt right now that could be useful for you. If you’ve got a funnel or web page that you want analysed by Chat GPT for a whole load of different reasons, we can just put in something like this.
Can you go to the following URL and tell me how the landing page could be improved? And then we can put up our landing page. So I’ll just put in, “Let’s put in https, fastfunnels.com, and then give it a go. And hopefully, what it should do is if we just click on this little link just here, this little arrow. There you go, so we can see what it’s doing. And it’s clicked on fastfunnels.com, and just to show you the page itself, there it is. And it’s now going to go through this entire page and hopefully give me some sensible feedback as to how it can be improved in some way. Based on the text that was successfully extracted from the landing page, here are some suggestions on how it could be improved. Better structuring and formatting. The page seems to repeat several sections, such as the main navigation links. This could be due to a formatting error. Usp. The page could benefit from a clear, concise statement that differentiates Fast Funnels from its competitors right at the top of the page. It seems to offer a lot of features, but a powerful USP could help visitors understand why they should choose fast funnels over other options.
So that’s cool. Visual content simplifies the language. So it says that we could be more concise. So I haven’t used Chat GPT at all to create the content on that particular page. But now, actually, with fast funnels, as you can see just here, there is actually an AI text generator built into the platform that uses Chat GPT. So I could probably do it really, really easily within the platform. But if you don’t have that and you’re just using WordPress or something for your site or scrolling square space or something, then this could be really handy for you to be able to just go over your page and just see how you could improve it. And you can also get it to do all kinds of other stuff with that content. You could now also, if you wanted to, say, go to this page and then create a social media post or a series of social media posts that promote that particular landing page, bearing in mind that it knows all about it after having read it. So that’s really good. And here’s another example right now of something else you could do with this: Let’s go to a new chat.
Again, you have to make sure that you have activated that browser plug-in each time. Otherwise, it might just be on default. Let’s try something different now. Can you tell me the best three locations to have a coffee in Chelsea, London? And let’s see if it can browse the web and then pull in some of the best places. And it tells you what it’s doing. The best coffee shops in Chelsea, London 2023 is what it’s actually saying is there. It’s gone to Trip Advisor for us. And then it’s going to pull in that data right here. How do you get there after having a little think about it? So it’s going back. Obviously, I wasn’t happy with that particular page. Clicked on the London local. Let’s go and have a little look at the pages. Here we go. 14 of the absolute best cafes in Chelsea That surely should be enough for it to give you the content. Yeah, here it goes. The top three locations to have coffee in Chelsea are these: So Amarr Cafe, Oto Lengi, and then who else have we got here? Great place for cosy moments. That sounds good. Megan’s. That doesn’t sound very posh, does it?
And it looks like it basically got that information from here. So let’s have a look and see where it came from. Yeah, Amarr, there we go. The best cafe in Chelsea And then it literally just picked those three places from that page. So this just gives you a better understanding of what it’s likely to do when you ask it those questions. Now, let’s try something else that we could do with it. And we’ll again just make sure we’ve got that active. Can you find the top 10 most popular posts on Reddit about chat GPT in the last week? And there we are. So this could be useful for content creation. Again, you can do this for your niche or industry. And it could be really useful to be able to pull in the latest news or anything else that would give you some inspiration to start making some great content with. Let’s have a look and see what it’s up to while browsing the web. I do find that unfortunately, at the moment, there are errors and failed clicks sometimes, as I’m sure if you’ve had a go with this already, you may have experienced. I would imagine that’s something they’re going to iron out.
This is still in beta, after all. So hopefully, it will get better. It will get better. So it’s still browsing the web now, but I can actually just go to one that I did previously because you’ve always got to do this just in case something goes wrong, like it did there. Here we go. Yeah, it’s not even going to show me. Here we are. There we are. That’s the first one. And there was another one just here. Top three places. And there it is. So what are the trending topics in our chat GPT today? That’s what I actually put in. It went straight there without any issues at all. And then it pulled out these ones here. Those are the top trending topics. The other good thing about using the web browser is that it always gives you the actual places where it got it from. And if you just click on the number, then it will take you straight there. And there it is. There’s the actual thread. And you could create all kinds of content from this. I’d be really interested to know, if we continue on with this chat, whether it could create an interesting article about all of those things.
Using the information about the top trending topics on chat GPT on Reddit, please create an interesting article for AI fans about that content in a journalistic, friendly style. Okay, now let’s see what we can do with that. There, look at that. AI Community Buzz. Today’s highlights from Reddit’s chat GPT Now, this is brilliant to be able to create interesting articles. Let’s take a look at that. In the vast expanse of the internet, Reddit is a beacon for communities to discuss, share, and debate on every topic imaginable. And then there’s a whole thread there about it or trending topics. We have a dynamic general discussion thread that’s been alive and kicking for the last 20 days, initiated by the user. Hi there, Bitch. Yeah, really good. I might need to edit this down a little bit, depending on where it’s going. So it’s just an example there, really, of how you can use this web browser to grab current information and then do things with that current information. And you can do all the usual stuff that we’ve done in other training videos in this course, like, for example, in the writing module and in the social media module, where normally quite often we’re having to feed some information in by hand, copying and pasting it from a website or a PDF or something into here.
Now, using the Web browser plug-in, we’re able to just go to the web, grab current information, whether that’s off our current website or someone else’s site, put it into here, and then do stuff with it, which could be really, really interesting and useful for a whole variety of different use cases. But that’s it for this lesson on the web browser. As things evolve, we will update this lesson. Until then, I’ll see you in the next one.
