Emails & Letters

With the right prompts, Chat GPT can write high-converting email sequences, or letters for just about any purpose you can imagine.

Okay, in this module, we are going to cover emails and letters and how we can use ChatGBT to help us with those. So what things can it do with emails then? Well, it can write individual emails or do complete email sequences for you. If you’re involved in any marketing activity online, then usually there is some an email sequence that you would use to sell your product or service or onboard somebody if you’re running a software as a service, that thing. So it can really do a good job of creating those sorts of emails. Other things it can do is to improve your existing emails. So if you’ve already got an email sequence or even just one email that goes out, maybe to deliver a free lead magnet that somebody’s opted in for or something, you can take the contents of that email and just put it into chat GPT and have it improve the copy based on what you tell it to do. A whole email marketing strategy it can come up with as well. And I think this is the benefit, really, of using Chat GPT over just a single prompt put into some software.

You get to work with Chat GPT. I mean, if you think about it, if you had an employee, you wouldn’t just say to them, Okay, write me five emails that are going to help sell our product over a period of 10 days or something, and then that’s it. You don’t speak to them ever again, and then you just let them get on with it. They’re going to have questions. They’re going to want you to just go into more detail about certain aspects of it in order for them to do a better job. Or they’ll just go away, they’ll do that job for you, and then you’ll have to change it because it doesn’t do everything you wanted. And this is the benefit of using ChatGBT. The other thing, as I say, it can do then is to come up with an entire marketing strategy for you and suggest email types to send out and when to your audience in order to get the result that you want. So that’s a lot of stuff it can do, isn’t it? And as regards the actual email types that it can help you with, there’s a lot of them.

Let’s have a little look at some of them right now. So a lot of these are really geared towards e-commerce people, like order confirmation, email shipping notification, emails that can write those for you in a way that keeps your customers calm and informed about when they’re getting their stuff they ordered. Product recommendations. Card abandonment emails are really good for that. I’ve used it to create cart abandonment email sequences, and it’s just very, very effective at it. We’ll try some of this stuff out in a moment, so do stick around for when we actually use Chat GPT to do this. Then a review requests as well, or a testimonial as they’re often known. If you want a review of a product that they’ve purchased from you, you can have ChatGBT create a brilliant email that inspires them to take action. Seasonal sales. If you’ve got some Valentine’s Day sale or just a general sale, a January sale or something, it can come up with some really good emails. Again, you would usually do a little email sequence for those things over a period of, say, 10 days. If you’re having a sale. Cross sells and upsells.

Now, this is in particular of interest if you’re having a sales funnel and you’re trying to sell them an upsell, they don’t buy it, then you can put them into an email sequence created by chat GPT that will drive them back to purchase that upsell. Referral program emails. If you want to have people join your affiliate program, it can come up with some really good emails to get them to do that. Welcome emails. If somebody’s purchased something from you or maybe they’ve joined your newsletter and you want to send that initial welcome and start creating that bond between you and your potential customer. Newsletters. Now, there’s no need for you to create a newsletter every week on a Friday or something. You can actually create a mass of emails and newsletters with great content in and pre put them into your mailing software of choice. Maybe that’s MailerLite or MailChimp or FastFunnels, whichever active campaign. Then you can predo them all using ChatGPT as well. Reengagement. Have you ever had the open rates of your email start to dwindle down and people stop opening your emails. Now, you can use ChatGPT to come up with a really good way, some good subject lines and good content to try and spike that person at home who’s just started ignoring your emails and get them to respond and start opening your emails again, which can make you more money.

So that’s always a really good email to try. I encourage you to do that. And I’m going to give you a load of prompts for all of this stuff, so don’t worry, it will be in a spreadsheet. You’ll be able to access it underneath this training video too. Just request access, be patient, and someone will approve access to that. And then you can make a copy and then go ahead and edit it and enjoy using it. Customer support. Of course, it can write really good emails to customers, maybe difficult customers who’ve complained to you or something, and they’re not happy. And you know what you’d like to put in that email, but it might not be a very good thing for them to read. So why not get Chat GPT to write it for you? So here is the list I’ve prepared here for us. Here we go. There you go. So these are all example email prompts, and we’re also going to move on to some training about letters in a moment. But these are example email prompts for you. There’s loads of them. We’ve got the main one at the top, which I really like to use, as you’ll know from my previous videos, where we get Chat GPT to ask us questions about the email that we would like it to create.

But there’s also some really good ones here like that. So this one here, let’s take this one as an example. Newsletter emails. Generate a newsletter email that shares updates and interesting content related to, and then your product or service or industry with our subscribers. Include visually appealing content and make it engaging for them to keep coming back for more. So there’s all sorts here that you can use right now. Generate a follow up email that checks if the customer’s happy and so on. And then you can replace your product service literally with your product and service. Then for email sequences, we’ve got a bunch of prompts right here, product launch email, welcome email, special offer email sequences. And again, if it doesn’t understand anything, we’ll just ask you anyway, upsell, referral emails, newsletter, and then the reengagement email sequence. And this one’s really good. Let’s take this one here. Generate a series of emails to reengage subscribers who haven’t engaged with My emails or website, and you can put your website in there. In a while, use persuasive copy and targeted incentives to encourage subscribers to reengage. And it will come up with some really good suggestions for you there and actually write the email once you’re happy with it.

So those are really, really cool. And as regards improving your emails, let’s go over to chat GPT now and try a few of this stuff. A few of these things out. So I’ve got an email here that I’ve sent out that invited people to the chat GPT community, possibly the one that you’re in yourself. And I’ll bet that chat GPT could improve this quite a bit. I’m not exactly an unbelievable writer. So what I’m going to do is I’m just going to say, and we use Chat GPT 4 for this. So as you know, it’s a little slower than the other versions. But let’s just go ahead and ask it to improve the content of this email to make it more persuasive. Can you improve the following email content to make it more persuasive for them to join my free community? And then I will literally just take the content of the email there like that. And then, ops, I didn’t actually… Let me just stop generating that. Let’s edit the prompt there because I want to put in as well. I want to actually put in. You hold down the shift key and enter.

If you just press enter, it will often just submit the actual content. So let’s go and grab the rest of it as well. There’s not much, but we’ll just take this last bit here because I do think that that’s a good idea. And I’ll even take the PS as well. So see you there. And then I’m just going to put like, Jason West. And then I’m going to copy that PS at the bottom as well. Like that. There we go. So you can see you can do this with any of your emails, any way you want. And that’s it. I’m happy with that now. So I’ll just click Save and Submit and let GPT 4 get to work. Subject, unleash the power of chat GPT. Join our exclusive and free community today. That’s quite long, but it is a good subject line. Now, let’s compare it to whatever I put here. I put chat GPT invitation first name. So that’s not exactly genius. I must admit the subject. And what I could do now is to pit chat GPT’s version of this email against my own, and then we could see which one’s the best one.

So let’s see what it’s coming up with here. Dear recipient name, and I can obviously insert the person’s first name automatically, are you ready to revolutionise your entrepreneurial journey in online marketing strategies with Chat GPT? Since its launch in December 2022, ChatGBT has rapidly transformed the business landscape, very true, with over 100 million people worldwide harnessing its power to drive growth and success. That’s why I’m thrilled to invite you to our newly established community tailored exclusively for ambitious individuals like you. And then it goes on. And then it’s got the benefits of joining the community in a clear, listed way. Now, I didn’t do that. So this is definitely an improvement. And it’s gone here. Number one, a carefully curated library of educational content, including all the videos I’ve personally created. That’s true. A supportive and knowledgeable network of like minded professionals. Love it. A distraction free environment, intentionally hosted off Facebook to ensure a more engaging and focused experience. So this is, I would say, a really good improvement on what I’ve done. The only thing I would probably prefer is to make it slightly less wordy and a little bit more friendly. So that’s what I would probably do to change that.

So I could easily at this point, ask it to do that. Could you rewrite that email to be a little less complex in its language choice and also to be a little bit more friendly? Plus, feel free to add in a little humour as required. There we go. Let’s see what the heck it does with that. I think that was a really good effort, a very good first effort. I would say that it doesn’t particularly write in my style because I don’t really write that formally, but it did nevertheless improve the content of that email. So now let’s see what it’s done now that I’ve added those extra little bits to the prompt. So Hey, it’s using Hey instead of Hi, I think it used or no dear. So it was very formal, too formal. So now it’s gone to Hey, and then their name. Guess what? Chatgb has been taking the world by storm since December 2022, and now over 100 million are using it to boost their business. Pretty wild, right? And then an emoji, which I do use emojis, I like emojis. So I thought, why not create a fun, friendly, and free community?

And capital letters, free. Good move. Where can we all learn the ins and outs of ChatGB together? Where we can. And here we are inviting you to join the party. When you hop on board, you’ll find, and then the three benefits there, a Facebook free zone. I like that because let’s face it, we could all use a break from those pesy notifications. This is great. Now, this is much more like it. I really like this. This is much more like me. I’d be a lot happier in sending out that email in the first one because I think my list, particularly, would be just like, This doesn’t really sound like Jason anymore. It’s probably a little bit too good. But this is okay. I like this. It does a better job than me, but it also makes it friendly and informal. So bear that in mind. You can improve your original prompt, and this is why I really do prefer to converse with chatGBT to get what it is I want. So that was an example there of improving a current email. Now, you have got access, as I say, to all of these different prompts here that you can use, including the one where it will ask you questions about what it is you want to create, who’s it for, what style you want it in, and then it will just build it all for you.

I would actually like to do that. Let’s actually try this one here. So I’m just going to copy the questioning prompt and we’ll go through it because I think this will be a really good example. Right, so I’ve got our question and I’ve edited it ready to go. And I’m going to get it to create a cart abandonment email sequence for my product, which is chat GPT school online course. And then I’ve said, can you ask me a series of questions one at a time would help me create the perfect cart abandonment email sequence? So I’ll just delete that little bracket. And I’ve done it in a persuasive style because obviously we want to get them to go back and check out. And a friendly tone to my target audience, which is entrepreneurs. So now let’s see what it’s going to do here with that. So let’s start with the first question. What are the key features and benefits of the chat GPT school online course? It helps entrepreneurs become familiar with all of the powers of Chat GPT, and also enables them to grow their business using AI. There we go. Let’s use that.

And then great, moving on to the next question, which is, what is the pricing structure for chat GPT school online course? And do you offer any discounts or special offers? Let’s just say, okay, the course costs $197, but if they go back to the checkout and purchase, we will give them a 20 % discount coupon code as an incentive. Let’s say that. Next up, thanks. Here’s the next question. Are there any bonuses or additional resources included with the course, such as live webinars, community access, or extra materials? The course comes with hundreds of prompts all in Google Sheets ready to use. We use that. That’s a valuable bonus, it says. Now for the next question, can you provide a testimonial success story from someone who has already completed the CHAP GPT School online course? I can, but I’d have to go and copy and paste it in. So I’m just going to say not at the moment. There we go. Next. Understood. Last question. Before I create the cart abandonment email sequences, how long do they have access to the course materials once they enroll? And is there any money back guarantee or satisfaction guarantee?

Okay. They have lifetime access to the course materials, and there is a 14 day money back guarantee subject to there being something wrong with the course content. Let’s go. Thank you. And then that’s it. It is now off and away and it will create the perfect cart abandonment email sequence for us. And we should be able to almost literally take this and then copy and paste it into our chosen mailing software. Look at that. I love the way it formats it too, as well. So it’s used markdown. Email number one, subject, oops, did you forget something? That’s a good one. We noticed you added chat, GPT school online course to your cart, but didn’t complete the purchase. We get it. Sometimes life gets in the way. Or maybe you just need a little nudge in the right direction. Let us remind you why this course is a game changer for entrepreneurs like you. This is great. I mean, imagine how much you’d have to pay only last year to have somebody write this stuff for you, some copywriter or something. It’d probably cost you a small fortune to get a decent job done like this.

Gain a cutting edge advantage over your competition. Hundreds of ready to use prompts in Google Sheets. And then it’s come up with a coupon code and everything. And now, because this is Chat GPT 4, this will go on and on and on. So we’ll just leave that running in the background. And then we’ll go and take a look at the next part of this training, which is all about letters. So here we go. How can chat GPT help with letters? Well, one of the main things it can do, of course, brilliantly is grammar and spelling. It can also translate all of your content as well. And it can highlight any errors and then also offer different types of phrasing like it. And it can also rewrite sentences if you’re not happy with them. And so overall, you’re getting a more clear and polished look. It can give you examples of different types of letters. And I’m going to show you a whole load of different letters that it can produce for you in a moment, particularly aimed at people in business, really. And then also it can give you feedback. Just as I showed you how it can improve an email, you could also submit a letter in digital format that you were going to send out and ask how it could be improved and what could be made better, rather than having it rewrite the whole thing.

Actually educate you on what could have been done better in the first place. So really good like that. Now, let’s take a look at all of the letters that it’s really good at writing for you. And there’s many more. But these are some good examples. A business introduction letter offering your company’s services to an individual if you’re doing a big mail out campaign. Proposals, again, whether that’s to design a website or whatever else, you can send business proposals out using ChatGBT or actually get it to create the proposal. Thank you letters, whether that’s personal thank you letters or it’s actually for a customer. Sales letters, obviously brilliant at doing that as it does with sales copy for website. Referrals, asking for referrals. Cover letters if you’re doing any job applications and things. Recommendation, so asking a customer to recommend them to some friends and so on. Really good for doing those. An apology letter that could come in handy again, a little bit like what we talked about with customer support emails. Maybe you’re not the best at apologising. Maybe you don’t even think you’re wrong. But don’t worry, just put in a description of the situation into chat GPT, and then it will come out with a brilliant apology letter for you.

Follow up. It will do follow up letters after somebody’s done something. Maybe somebody viewed a house and now as a real estate agent, you want to follow up with them and see what they thought about it. Resignation letters. Hopefully you don’t have to do too many of those. Confirmation letters and termination letters. It’s not very nice to have to write a termination letter as an employer, but again, if you just state the facts to chat GPT and tell it the basics of what needs to be included in the letter, then it will be able to write a fantastic letter that hopefully doesn’t upset the disgruntled employee too much. Now, these are right here in the letter prompts. Again, I’ve got them all laid out. There’s two for each sort, actually. So look at this one. There’s a proposal letter. Help me write a proposal letter to recipient name 4, and then the project and idea. The letter should highlight the benefits of the proposal and the expertise of my company, which is you put your company name in. Thank you letter right here, create a thank you letter to express appreciation to the person for their support of, and then your company name.

So loads and loads of time saving prompts there for you to use straight into chat GPT. So that’s how you can use it for letters. And obviously, like I say, there’s a lot more different types of letters than this that you can do. You can use it, for example, another one, I’ve done this, to object to receiving a parking ticket, pointing out certain things that were wrong. Chat GPT can even come up with excuses for you if you wanted to as to why you shouldn’t have to pay the parking ticket. It’s quite inventive as well, really is. And over to the prompts. So that’s where you can get it. Again, just go underneath and just click that you want access. Please be patient. We try and approve them as fast as possible. The reason that we do it this way is so that we can keep a very tight control on the intellectual property of this course that doesn’t just end up everywhere. You’ve paid for it. You deserve access. We don’t want it all over the web. It gives you the competitive advantage, of course. So going back to chat GPT. Here it is.

It’s finished. It’s done a three email cart abandonment email sequence for us. Looks pretty good to me. Here we go. Your exclusive 20 % discount is expiring soon. And then it’s got a coupon and everything. And then I like the way it’s done this moon, actually. That’s quite a good use of that. Your 20 % discount ends tonight with a moon. I love it. Time is running out. Your exclusive 20 percent rescount, and blah, blah, blah. And then again, another reminder of the key benefits of joining, ending with best wishes and your name. So I think it’s a fantastic tool for this. Obviously, at the time of recording this video, this is chat GPT 4. It’s going to be very soon able to insert images and do all kinds of other crazy stuff. But when that happens, we’ll update the course accordingly. But that’s it. Thanks for watching this module on emails and letters. And if you’ve got any questions, then please do fire away with those. Hopefully, you’ll be able to do that underneath or in the community itself. And if you found it useful, please do let us know and let other people know as well.

Thanks a lot for watching. I’ll see you in the next training video.
